The AdaptivCool division of Degree Controls was established in 2005 to address thermal management problems in data centers and bring Thermal Peace of Mind to data center managers worldwide.

With increasing rack density and IT load, today’s data centers are battling thermal constraints more than ever. The AdaptivCool division was created to assist data centers address these concerns quickly and efficiently with no rack movement or downtime required.

AdaptivCool's Demand Based Cooling solution allows data centers to maximize their existing resources though dynamically targeted airflow at the room level. This patented technology permits data centers to increase server density, reduce the need for facility/cooling expansion and improves Power Usage Effectiveness.

At the rack level, AdaptivCool also has its HotSpotr line of products that aid in the supply of chilled air and mitigation of server exhaust. Through thermostatically controlled air movers, HotSpotr's eliminate hot spots and maintain safe rack temperatures. HotSpotr's are a user installable product than anyone can install in less than 30 minutes.
